我国在某些方面的教育和科学技术水平与国外确实存在一定的差距，选择出国不失为明智之举。然而，一部分人选择出国是很盲目的，只想到国外镀层金回来，或是纯粹为了赶时髦，这样结果会是怎样呢？
造成这种结果的本质原因是什么呢？出国留学缺乏必要的理性。何为理性，首先出国留学的目的要明确。做什么事情首先就要明确目标，目标是我们前进的方向和动力。确认自己出国留学的真正想法是什么，是想赶潮流还是真正想接受先进的文化知识，提高自己知识和能力。同时，明确了方向，坚定了信念，才能在留学之路上有勇气克服一个又一个困难。其次是选择适合自己的方式和方向。国外可以给我们更大的机会和空间去学习国外的先进技术、先进理念，选择适合自己的是至关重要的。适合自己的才能真正体现自己的价值，才能在这个领域上有所作为。实际操作起来，一方面应该考查你的兴趣和从事专业，另一方面是在此方向上你所具备的知识积累。最后就是自己真正选择了出国这条路，由于国外的文化背景、生活习惯与国内差异较大，就应当具有充分的心理准备去迎接挑战与困难。同时要对自己的留学之路进行初步规划，这样可以作到有的放矢。
总之，选择出国留学是好的想法，作到理性出国才能使好的想法落到实处。

Actually, there’re some difference in education and scientific level between our country and others. So it’s a good idea that someone makes decision to go abroad. But some decisions are so blindfold to follow the fashions that we can’t expect the outcome.
What’s the basic reason to follow the fashion about going abroad? The essential reason is keeping rational and sensible. What’s rational and sensible decision? On the one hand, the purpose of going abroad is necessary for everyone. Whatever we did, the definite goal will tell us which direction is correct. Make sure what do we wanner get, following the fashion or improve self-knowledge and ability. Only if we had the definite goal, it’s important to persevere in. Then we can conquer difficulty in the way of going abroad. On the other hand, the right way and direction is essential. Foreign country give us so many chances and much space to learn advanced technology and ideas, so the right direction is more important. The right direction can embody self-, and we can get achievement in the area. So, first make sure your interest and your major, then review how much knowledge you have in the area. At last, you really want to choose go abroad, because different culture and habit, we should have enough psychological preparation to face challenge. And establish the primary plan about going abroad, you can have a definite object in view.
Anyway, going abroad is a good idea, rational decision can put it into use.

理性精神，是所有想留学的人必须具备的品质。自费留学生所需要的基本条件包括外语水平、资金数量和海外学习、生活能力。外语是首先要跨越的关隘，一些国家要求申请留学者必须提供雅思、托福成绩，没有一定的外语水平，根本不能顺利在外学习。留学属于社会的高端消费，只有从自身的资金实力出发，制定的留学计划才可行。同时在一个几乎完全陌生的文化环境下学习，面对巨大的文化差异，具有基本的独立生活能力和一定的心理适应水平的人，才适合留学深造。

For reasonal going abroad for study, you must first have a clear idea of what you want to learn. My favorate business law teacher is a ABC(American born Chinese),he told us most of students choose to pursue further study abroad not because they want to enrich themselves with some more ,but to avoid employment pressure or just don’t want to land to this society. I think one learn more effectively when needing sth, that is to say, first learn what you don’t know, then learn about what that is.
Second , having some overseas background truly will strengthen you future resume. There are truly more excellent lectural knowledge and advanced experiences abroad, all of which will broaden your view in one way, or will also get yourselves lost control.They may have double effects on the formation of one’s personality.
To me , reasonal going abroad means many talks with parents, teachers and others knowing you very well and find what you really need and what’s the best way for you.

近些年，出国留学已成为继升学、就业之后的第三条出路，留学的人数日益增长，且选择也日益多元和自由。现在一些学校公派出国的计划已经启动，然而自费出国的热潮并没有因此而消退。自费留学在国家、专业和衣食住行方面有较大的自由。然而同时也需要以理性的态度对待，才不会让自己白白浪费了时间与金钱。
留学的根本目的就是为了将来的职业发展增值，因此事先制订一份合理的留学规划是十分必要的。外语、资金、独立生活的能力和心理素质以及专业的选择都必须在考虑的范围之内。
没有一定的外语水平很难在国外顺利的学习，这也是现在一些外语培训学校走俏热火的原因之一吧。留学应该属于一种高的消费，应根据自身的经济状况和所选国家的消费水平和学校的奖学金机制综合考虑。另外出国深造毕竟是身处完全不同文化背景的异国，因此良好的独立生活和心理适应能力对于外出留学的人来说也必不可少。最后所修专业应结合自身职业定位、我国的经济发展方向和社会需求进行选择。
因此留学并非出钱在外国呆两三年那么简单的。是需要理性分析和规划的一件人生中的大事。

While you make the decision that you want to study abroad, another focusing question is which country you will choose. This is highly relative with your economic strength and how much do you want to pay for it. The total account is in some extent determined by your discipline. In general, the liberal art seldom have scholarship which including fellowship, TA and RA, so when you apply these majors, you need consider your financial status. Referring to the science and engineering course, most of them offer considerable financial aid if you are excellent. To satisfy their requirement, you need weigh your academic ability, which is measured by the GPA, papers and awards, also, the standard examination of English is another core index to influence whether your application is admitted or not.
So in the rational applying, you should understand three steps, the rational determination you will go abroad or not; the rational determination which country or countries and which universities and majors you will choose; the rational preparation before you deliver the materials. Studying aboard is another form of investment, everyone would not expect the result that the account of investing is more than out growth or maybe without any fruit. Following this logic, you are responsible for this account of investment and you must be. It is a procedure to make yourself more competitive, more worth, more erudite and critical.

You must hear some advice of specialist. Because there are so many schools and specialties, and research orientations are also different. So, the advice of specialist is more important.
We suggest that the one who want to study abroad should combine the circs of yourself, and have a long-term aim, and also need have some advice of specialist. Choose a right way！
