Study aboard is a risky investment which mortagage one's career and future. Every one is supposed to deal with it in a rational and cautious way. Combining with self' situation, one should make plan as soon as possible, outline the career orientation clear, plan the goal further, create an appropriate plan via consulting the study-aboard agency as well as choose the school and specification properly in order to pave the fitting way for one' future. A ration study-aboad should starts with the following point of view:
1. Clarify the aim of study-aboard is the key. Each applicant has his/her own characteristics and differs in goals and orientations. Therefore, careful and rational making the study plan is a question about which all applicants must consider cautiously.
2. Choose the school and major with close consideration with one's career developement. Each applicant has difference in academics, familiy background and study goal, etc. This illuminates the necessity of analyzing one self completely for choose an appropriate major.
3. Pay attention to the advice from experts and study-aboard ageny. They acquire fruitful experiences from their aboard study. It would be more efficient and rational to listen to their feedback.

随着中国对外开放步伐的加大和政治、文化环境的宽松和一些国外高校的门槛和学费都一降再降等原因，近些年来，出国留学的人数有了很大的增加。
关于出国，我觉得首先要明确的是，为什么要出去，目的是什么，是为了单纯的“镀金”，还是为了自己更好的发展，而且要考虑我自己所要学习的东西，在人才市场的需求上是供大于求，还是供过于求。
几乎每个出国留学的人都会花费十几二十万，那么要考虑的是如果有一天我决定回国就业，那么我对薪金的期望值是多少，有没有足够的心理承受能力和经济实力来接受现实，积极主动的告别“海待”。
再从企业招聘来说，企业关注的是人力资源成本和效益比，也就是我们所说的性价比，无论‘海归’、自学成才、境内毕业生都在同一个平台上竞争，早期过度拔高“海归”的光景已见不到了。虽然“海归”拥有语言和国际化视野的优势，但是如果只是抱着过海“镀金”的想法去留学，显然，“海归”的名片并不能让这一部分人成为职场中的抢手人才。
其实追根结底，考不考托福出国，出了国之后回不回来，主要还是取决于对个人未来发展怎样才能更加有利这个问题的理性思考。

留学应理性
留学,这个字眼,最早是在清朝末期提出的,学者魏源于<海国图志>中最早提出"师夷长技以制夷"的先进思想,是民主开放的一种象征.而今,我们改革开放二十余年的时间里,已经有近6000万人直接受到了先进的西方教育.并近半数归国参与社会主义现代化的建设,加强了社会主义的生产力.并积极地促进了社会关系的演变.
但事物都是存在双面性的,对于留学也并不例外,它积极的作用是接受西方开放先进的教育,使思维与视野开阔,加强了个人的素质修养.同时,它并非受用于每个人,有些人盲目的追求海外留学,认为留学就一定会成功,这种观念是错误的.据统计,中国有8%的留学生出国以后由于文化水平和素质不高,导致在海外犯罪或从事非法活动,最后被驱逐出境;也有一部分人在出国以后,由于非常不适应国外的环境而造成严重的心理与生理疾病.
因此,我们需要建立一种新的观念,那就是留学要理性.我们不能只看它积极的一面,同时要注意它的消极面对我们带来的影响和后果.在决定留学前,我们要充分的了解这个国外的情况,比如:气候,食物,文化,人民的风俗习惯等.并且考虑,这些基本情况你是否一应具备.同时,要注意留学生本人的素质和思想,他的文化和自身素质如何,他的立场是否坚定,他是否容易受国外一些消极的不良风气影响等等.
留学这柄双刃剑,要看它是发挥它的威力斩荆披鳞,还是被其威力所伤事得其反,您真应该三思而以理性而行,不是吗?

理性留学，永远也没有绝对的好与坏
前一阵，朋友跟我说留学就像是另一座围城。钱钟书先生“城外的人想进去，城内的人想出来”的话固然经典，但是真的也适用于在讨论留学这件事情上吗？
城外的人想进去，看到的多是“海龟”、“镀金”带来的好处，对国外所谓安逸、自由生活的向往。城内的人想出来，是美好期待的失落。那么为什么会有失落呢？面对人才济济竞争激烈的现状，海龟自命清高，高不成低不就，在迎接浪潮时不免会受打击；国外的安逸与自由也不是绝对的，任何的获得都是有一定前提的。留学不一定就是黄金路，选择在国内就业还是选择出国是一个路口分出的两条路，无所谓宽窄。金钱、语言、心态、性格都是出国要考虑的因素。面对同样一件事情，比如打一份保洁的工，两轮面试，还被无端的理由所拒绝，有人可能会联想到国内的生活，这样的反差让人难以接受，出国还不如在国内待着，而有的人却认为，有了这样的经历，无论以后遇到什么困难都不会退缩了。
人生的规划也是现在老师强调、大家讨论很多的主题之一，有了规划，有了明确的道路，那么不相关的因素就可以排除在视线范围之外，少去很多荆棘的牵绊，少去很多在不必要因素上的选择与徘徊，不被不必要的东西所诱惑。
留学毕竟是去到很远的地方，无论在物力财力还是精神上，都会要有很多的付出，理性的分析与思考是必要的，但是也不要过多的举棋不定，自己选择的就是最好的，至少经历才不会后悔，至少有故事人生才不会苍白。无论什么事情都没有绝对的好与坏，真正的城堡、天堂只是在自己心里！

On the Rational Choice of Study Abroad
The recent years has witnessed a rise of the concept -“the rational choice of abroad study” in the overseas education consulting domain. To my knowledge, the opening-up and reform policy has been implemented for more than 20 years in China ; therefore, studying abroad is no more than an unfamiliar phenomenon among the general republic.
However, after several years of the heat of studying abroad, especially with the pace of the new era, a more rational view on studying abroad should be formed not only for the benefit of the applicants but also for the overseas education’s sake. This paper hereby illustrates the rational choice of abroad study as follows.
The first and foremost implicational meaning of the “rational abroad study” is that we have to decide whether to go abroad for studying or not though there are actually some differences between the foreign and the Chinese education in terms of the mode and the scientific level, to list just a few.
However, no blindfold decisions are suggested without careful educational and career planning. Sometimes, more haste, less speed. If you simply want to keep up with Jones, you may not reach the satisfactory achievements as you expect. For instance, it occurs to us that it may be quite a good idea to study on arts in Germany . But the German language is no easy feast for ordinary people. It is noteworthy some young students are so talented in arts but not so proficient in mastering the language. In this case, it may be a better idea if these young talents can have a more detailed and rational view of studying abroad in case of any unnecessary outcome.
Nowadays, the people returned to their home country after finishing overseas study (“Haigui” in Chinese) do not cover themselves with the same glory as before. Some even got a notorious reputation in recruitment for their incompetence, which causes a sharp contrast between people’s anticipation and their performance. In that case, the rational choice of abroad study suggests that studying abroad is not just a matter of getting a degree or getting certain glory; on the contrary, you should carefully design and plan your whole career life and even all aspects of your life. Your abroad study should be career-oriented and lay a far-reaching influence in your whole life especially in your career life. A thorough and deep understanding of career life hereby is inevitable in order to become a competent and qualified applicant and job hunter.
Last but not least, the rational choice of study abroad does not simply mean to choose a major, to enroll in a famous university. To form a rational choice, we need to take many items into consideration, social customs, culture, even interpersonal communication, to name just a few. We should take precautions consideration in case any difficulties and obstacles in front of us. It is not easy to make a decision to study abroad. Once we make it, it should be absolutely safe and rational because it is a momentous and even life-and-death decision to the author's knowledge.
Therefore, careful and even meticulous planning of abroad study should be taken if we summarize the point abovementioned. It is suggested that the applicants and the family may resort to an authoritative, responsible and professional consulting companies if necessary to construct a bright future. It is a great pity that till now many applicants has not paid enough attention to the role played by such companies in the process of rational abroad study and has gone through many troubles and even failures which might be avoided.

Sense Study-Abroad
Studying abroad makes a great contribution to Chinese development and construct in resent years. More and more parents have sent their children abroad.
There are two main methods to go abroad, the self charge and scholarships. In last years the main position to go abroad is US, UK and developed countries. And rich mans have their children go to these country by self charge. The excellent student but not among rich family will choose scholarships to go to developed country to study hot major such as law, computer and finance. But in the years coming and now more and more people choose to go to easy-going countries to study practical major. And they are willing to spend a lots of money to study abroad even to carry out their whole-life-save.
One of the reasons is that the Olympics Game hold in Beijing will make china completely open her door to the whole world and the culture exchange needed by the greatest nation in the world will bring the great country into a new era of communication to the developed countries. The development of China will go accelerated. She needs more and
more students to go abroad to study advanced knowledge and come back to devote themselves into construction.
The other reason is that the developed countries such US,UK and other European and north American countries counties have apparently risen the proportion of accepting foreign students to study in the advanced universities of their country , especially in the hot major.
In the year 2007 America will still lead the study-abroad tide as she do not change vise policy according to the great political events. And she will hold more then 50% Chinese students to be the first-choice study country. In Australia the emigration advance and convenience of electric vise service will hold the second position of hot choice of study-abroad. And UK, France and Canada will still be hold into the first legion in the study-abroad market. Some study in some undeveloped country will go shrink.
Since college in China still hold the less number of students and number of students taking the college entrance exam is large, the number of high school student going abroad has arisen in 2006.more and more high school graduates epically those failed in CEE do not apply famous university of foreign countries any more. They will make more sense to chose foreign universities in 2007, it will become history that the phenomenon of “study- abroad junk” as choosing curtly, the studying abroad is not a issue to flaunt, thus become another normal chose of promote study.

求学道路一路走好 浅谈理性留学
自费留学生逐渐成为中国留学生的主流群体，已经成为世纪之交中国教育界引人注目的一道景观。与改革开放之初应运而生的公派留学群体不同，自费留学生在选择留学国家、留学专业，乃至海外的衣食住行等方面都拥有广泛的自由。面对这些自由，唯有以理性的态度驾驭，才能享受自由而不是为自由所累。所以，我相信，理性精神，是想留学的人和正在留学的人不能不具备的品质。
外语，是每一个留学生首先要跨越的关隘。当前留学生所暴露出来的问题也说明，没有一定的外语水平，根本不能顺利在国外学习，所以，我鼓励学生在国内打好外语的基础再留学。
具有基本的独立生活能力，和一定的心理适应水平的人，才适合留学深造。一位哲人曾经说过：“你的心态就是你的主人。”乐观的人与自卑的人相比，你认为哪一种会在国外生活的更好呢？
留学，属于社会的高端消费，只有从自身的资金实力出发，制定的留学计划才可行。充足的资金是你完成学业的坚固磐石。也许你在国外可以打工且收入不菲，但是出国前一定要为自己几年的花费做一个详细计算，计算时不要过高的将打工的收入也算在内，而要考虑：万一没找到工作，家里可以支付多少。也就是凡事要往好的方面努力，也要做好最坏的打算。

理性留学的看法
人生是一个不断历练的过程，因此人生的经历是宝贵的财富，其价值应该比真正的金钱更为宝贵！
去法国留学，当然是以学为主，学习可以使人的心志变得更强大。法国是西方七国之一，虽然近些年有诸多方面不尽如人意，如社会不稳定，失业率居高不下，及非洲后裔移民与法国主流社会的矛盾不断升级等等，但不可否认的是法国在科技方面的水平还是要高出中国当前水平的，如法国飞机制造业的AIR BUS,火车的TGV都是举世闻名的先进技术，其水平可与美国的波音飞机和德，日的火车一争高下；而法国的艺术、文化、体育等方面都处在世界一流的水平上：埃芙尔铁塔、卢浮宫，法国每年的canne电影节，法国的足球、ROLAN CALOS法国网球公开赛以及现在正如火如荼进行的具有百年历史的环法自行车赛等等！
就语言方面，法语是极为重要的世界语言之一，其被应用程度遍及五大洲，尤为突出的是欧洲、北非和西非及加拿大，而美国人更是以文章中加入法文来标识其学识渊博。
中国是一个经济飞速发展的国家，其实力在不远的将来必将超过西方强国，实现这一目标留学生责无旁贷，我们的目的是学习西方先进的科技、文化、艺术来为我所用，我们不仅要博采众长，还要见贤思齐，从善如流，作为一名当代的中国留学生，只有心中有信念，有理想，才不会迷失在出国热的洪流之中，因为你清楚地知道出国是做什么，未来会为中国的强大贡献力量，为自己设定了目标，并为其实现而不懈努力！你们的未来一定是把握在自己的手里的：你的母语是汉语，从小就学英语，在三五年以后可以熟练地运用法语，再加上你的专业知识，我真不能想象你会有一个怎样的未来，还是你自己想象一下吧！

关于理性留学的思考
在严峻的就业形势下，许多学生和在职人员为提高自身的竞争力纷纷加入出国留学的行列。面对一波又一波的留学热浪，如何做好职业发展规划，让留学帮助自己实现人生目标已成了刻不容缓急需解决的问题。
明确留学目标是关键
早期的留学目标是为了移民，“去哪学”比“学什么”让人们更关注。可是，当人们发现移民只是一道光环，留学更重要的是一种再深造的途径、一种学习方式的选择时，一味追求“我要去哪学”的盲目开始逐渐转化为“我要学什么”的理智。 以往留学首选的是移民国家和热门专业，现在申请人则会充分考虑自己的经济、学历背景和兴趣爱好，更慎重地选择学校和专业，是否能移民倒成了其次，学生反而对留学学校与专业的要求越来越高，专业选择越来越多样化。过去90%的留学人员都是读商科，现在则降到了70%，其他如学生物、化学、工程、法律、传媒、艺术、翻译、教育等专业的人也逐渐多了起来。
大部分的留学申请人在出国之前往往以能顺利取得签证作为自己的目标，而没有真正仔细地思考过“我为什么要出国？”“我长期的发展目标是什么？”“出国是不是有利于我的职业发展？”等等问题，因此，现在社会上存在许多“海归”待业家中或者薪水不尽如人意的现象。许多留学归来的人士对自己以后的发展非常迷茫，这些问题的存在和当初较盲目的留学计划有着很大的关系。
留学是以自己的事业、前程为抵押的一种高风险投资，每个申请人都要慎重地对待。留学的根本目的是为自身未来的职业发展增值。现在准备出国的申请人必须理性对待留学并做出正确的选择，最关键的一点是申请人要选对适合自己的专业和学校。人都有自己的特点，他们出国的目的和方向也各不相同，留学前除了留学期间的成本和学习规划外，职业规划也必不可少，根据自己的学历、外语水平、个性特征、专业背景、经济能力制好科学合理的留学计划是每个申请人必须慎重考虑的问题。
结合职业发展选择学校专业
每个申请人在学术、家庭背景、留学目的各个方面都有所不同，所以在做留学投资前，你一定要对自己做一个全面的分析，首先，你本身的专业或者你所从事的行业是什么，你在学术上已经做了怎样程度的知识积累；其次，你希望通过留学达到什么样的目的，是继续在本行业里发展还是另外寻求其他的方向？再次，要正确对待兴趣和专业的关系，你要明确“你所选择的专业是不是你的兴趣所在，它和你目前已经从事的专业是不是有一定的继承性和连续性”，如果你所选择的专业并不是你的兴趣所在，当你一旦决定，就必须让自己喜欢上所做的事情，但是必须是在所学的专业一定要有利于你的职业发展的前提下；最后，你必须做一个成本计算（包括时间成本和资金成本），由于每个国家的学制和学费各不相同，你必须根据自身的情况和经济实力做出相应的选择，不要做不必要的时间或者金钱上的浪费。
备注： 越来越多的大学本科毕业生由于国内就业压力大的原因，选择先出国留学读硕士再回国就业以增加竞争力。如果一味轻信排名，可能会丧失深造良机。一味想申请名校，自己本身不具备相应的能力和基础，以致学习跟不上，可能因拿不到学位而前功尽弃。也不要盲目选择热门专业，面对枯燥沉重的毕业压力，也不能完成学业。
所以理性留学势在必行。
